By popular demand, Vavadog, offering hip clothing for pets, opened a Western Addition storefront in March 2005! Vavadog is now in over 200 pet boutiques worldwide, as well as in selected Marshall Fields Department Stores.
In 2003, owner, Marietta Bernstein completed the Business Planning Class at Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. She also received graduate consulting services to create time management priorities and action steps needed to implement her business plan. In 2004, Marietta completed Renaissance’s Taking Stock Class, especially designed for product businesses with a focus on inventory control and sales forecasting.
“Becoming a graduate of Renaissance was a key factor in my business success. The environment and training Renaissance provided helped me believe in my business and myself”, says Marietta. “I couldn’t have done it without Renaissance!”

Thank you to our Donors
As we're sure you know, Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center must raise funds to offer our small business training services and programs. None of what we do would be possible without the generous support of our donors. We are so grateful to all of you. From the staff, board, clients and graduates of Renaissance, our sincere thanks to Citibank, GATX Corporation, and Bank of the West for your recent contributions.
