Twenty Years of Success!
The Award Winners
More than 350 guests celebrated Renaissance’s 20th Anniversary event, “Small Business=BIG IMPACT” in style at San Francisco’s Merchants’ Exchange on September 8th. As always, Renaissance graduate businesses were front and center, providing the delicious d’oeuvres, the anniversary cake, the invitation and award certificate design, the photography, as well as many of the silent auction items, the raffle prizes, and of course, the wonderful trade show exhibits.

Renaissance awarded Jillian Mosley, owner of Revival Mercantile, Melissa Joy Manning, owner of Melissa Joy Manning, and Jacquie Holmes and Myra Heard, owners of Star Partners Security Services, our “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” “Established Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” and “Angela Cain Memorial Award,” respectively.

A special thank you to our title sponsor, Citibank, and to each of you who joined us in celebrating the BIG IMPACT of Small Business! We look forward to another 20 years of success!

Graduate Success
Chandler Moore will celebrate the opening of her pilates studio, Core Pilates on 17th, at 388 17th Street in San Francisco, with a party open to the public on October 22, from 5-9:00 p.m.
Chandler Moore In Action

Chandler, formerly a pilates instructor at Presidio Sports & Medicine, came to Renaissance with a rough draft of a business plan and a grant from the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Though visually impaired, Chandler had her sights clearly set on providing services to help people feel better about their bodies, assist pre and post natal women and people recovering from injuries.

“ Renaissance gave me the professional advice, structure and encouragement I needed just at the right time... when I was anxious about opening my business and wondering if I could do it.”
