We offer workshops, specialized programs, and technical assistance for those who are considering starting a business, need skills to help run their business, or are looking to grow their business. We are big on community enrichment and provide exceptional programs and resources that are exclusive to our Bayview community.

Foundational Courses

  • KICK START YOUR BUSINESS Are you ready to start a business or thinking about it? Find out your business readiness and get the tips and resources, including the access to a wide range of Renaissance’s services, to launch or expand your business.
  • START SMART Learn the basic tools you need to start a successful business. You will use a Business Plan Canvas (a visual hands-on tool) to get your ideas on paper, test them, refine, and adjust to meet the needs of your market.

BIZ FIT PROGRAM Do you own a small business on the 3rd Street and Leland Avenue commercial corridors and want to grow? Enroll to receive tailored support to address your specific business needs. The program is a partnership between Renaissance Bayview and the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD).

  • Experienced business coach provides an initial assessment for the client, and lays out a roadmap to business success.
  • Client implements an Individual Development Plan (IDP), which can be used to increase revenue and expand business operations.
  • Specialized consultants provide individual training and technical assistance ranging from profitability tactics, merchandising, financial management, marketing, and commercial lease assistance.

BUSINESS ACCELERATION PROGRAM  A skills development course for small business owners, with emphasis on the core elements that contribute to business growth: access to capital and new hires.

  • Industry experts help participants identify where they need support and develop a training plan.
  • Training includes instruction in growth oriented areas such as marketing, management, planning and finance.
  • Small business owners join peer support groups to network and share best practices.

CONTRACTORS PROGRAM We help contractors from the Southeast Community take advantage of the Bay Area’s dynamic economy. We provide business coaching, mentorship, and key training in construction areas including:

Coaching & Advising

The Renaissance Financing Resource Center provides financial education, technical assistance and access to capital to help small business owners become better managers of their business finances and understand growth opportunities. Networking & Events

At Renaissance, we know that entrepreneurs benefit greatly from networking with, learning from, and supporting each other. To encourage this, we organize events and forums that help you to find peers at a similar stage of growth, in a similar industry, or who are meeting to discuss a particular topic.

We always have content, discussion, or a presentation in order to make sure that the important conversations that need to happen, do happen.
