Lease Strengthening & Business Attraction
As an extension of our work with new and existing entrepreneurs, Renaissance Bayview expanded our program to lease strengthening and business attraction services along the Third Street Corridor. These services further support ongoing business and community revitalization efforts in the Bayview Hunters Point Community. With the assistance of the Third Street Corridor Program Manager (now a member of the Renaissance Staff) and the Business Attraction and Retention (BAR) Committee to identify and recruit community serving small businesses and to strengthen leases of existing small businesses. Through support from MOEWD, established and/or anchor businesses will also be recruited to generate increased foot traffic to the corridor. Services that include identifying and meeting with landlords, agents, and/or representatives of vacant or underutilized space, developing signage and broadly posting listings, attending meetings of community and business organizations, preparing properties for rental, preparing leasing documentation etc.
