This workshop offers participants an overview of the federal contracting landscape, including key concepts, regulations, and processes involved in securing government contracts. Attendees will learn about the various types of contracts, the roles of federal agencies, and the importance of compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The workshop will also cover strategies for identifying contracting opportunities, preparing competitive proposals, and navigating the bidding process. By the end of the session, participants will have a foundational understanding of how to successfully engage in federal contracting, equipping them with the tools needed to pursue government contracts effectively.

Dr. Dene’ Starks-McGee Dene’ Starks-McGee is the CEO of DJS Business Solutions and loves helping people start, grow, and elevate their business. Dene’ brings over 15 years of business experience. She has spent the majority of her career in Business Management & Program Development as well as Organizational Training, gaining experiences in areas of technical assistance, workshop presenting, and business consulting. While business management and development is her primary function by day, Dene’ also enjoys spending time with her family, painting, publishing journals, and traveling.
