An introduction to pop–ups, the different types of pop–ups, marketing, and making the most of it.
Aaron Lander is the Bay Area’s foremost expert on creating and launching pop–up events, from craft fairs to festivals. In this four-week course, you’ll take a journey from idea to execution, as you’ll be planning an exciting pop–up event for Renaissance!
In the first week, you’ll learn the basics of pop–ups and grassroots marketing techniques. The second week is focused on evaluating your pop–up ideas, from the event location to the organization. In the third week, it’s all about marketing and preparation for your pop–up. The final week is going to look at how to make the most of your pop–up and what to do afterward. All along, you’ll be brainstorming your own ideas for your pop–up and using what you’re learning to co-plan the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center’s SSF Centennial Pop–Up!
The classes will take place on 4 Wednesdays: August 18, Aug 25, Sept 1 and Sept 15 (There’s a 1 week break for Labor Day!). 6-9PM. Online.
The big conclusion will be a pop–up food, craft and business fair in downtown South San Francisco, where course participants can have a booth of their own, selling their own products. The event coincides with South San Francisco’s Centennial celebration, Sept. 25, from 1-5 PM, so it is sure to have lots of foot traffic.
Even if you aren’t “launch-ready”, you can benefit from this class. If you have any questions, contact Amanda Anthony at email@example.com here
