This class is geared for CEOWorks participants and the re-entry population in Oakland.
Interactive Learning: Learn the basic tools and business fundamentals needed to start-up successfully. Meets twice a week for ninety minutes for five weeks.
Your Business Model: You will work with a Business Model canvas (a visual hands-on tool) to organize your ideas on paper, experiment with your business and adjust your business model based on real-life instructions.
One-on-one consultation: Free business advice of up to four hours with one of Renaissance’s experienced business consultants
Resource Takeaways: Gain access to funding sources to start your business. You will launch your business website. You will apply for a business license for your startup.

Instructor: Dorian Johnson has over twenty five years of experience in adult business and entrepreneurship education where has immersed himself in the areas of private banking, creative financing, social enterprise, business development and self-sustainability for non profits.
Dorian has been a stage performer musical artist and public speaker for over 30 years. Dorian’s lifetime goal is to inspire economic independence, success in business, creativity, and social change with every opportunity he encounters.
