Artemex
Martha O Sanchez
Retail, Clothing store
About the company

Artemex is a Mexican crafts and clothing store in Gilroy that is family owned and operated

Challenge

Due to the Covid pandemic Martha was forced to close her store for months, and quickly fell behind on her building mortgage.

Result

The Renaissance South Bay team assisted the city of Gilroy performing outreach to the Spanish speaking business community and was able to inform Martha about the various business grants available to Artemex. Renaissance assisted Martha in gathering all necessary documents and uploaded them in electronic format and submitted her applications. Martha was approved for a $5,000 Gilroy grant. We also applied for the Lendistry Cal grant. Her application was selected and is now waiting on final approval for her $15,000 grant. With the aid she received, Martha was able to restock her store and pay off some back rent. Her sales are back to normal, and the future of the store looks great!

Artemex
he South Bay team has helped me with all of the necessary steps needed to complete my applications and Armando Ricardez has helped me remotely with all the questions and uploads needed to receive the financial aid.
