Nichole Talbott moved to the Bay Area in 2011 after finishing her masters in Arts Educations at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her journey with Renaissance began in May 2018, where she completed our Start Smart course and went throught the Business Model Canvas. Nichole channeled her ability for teaching and passion for art to build her business from the ground up, Asé Arts. Over the years, she has engaged in Renaissance workshops and courses such as Marketing Bootcamp, Managing a Successful Launch, and How to Access Online and In-Person Markets for your Retail Business. She has also participated in our Women Mean Business courses focusing on building a female-led community to build your social media presence and developing your business mindset. Working hands-on with our consultant Vaneese Johnson, Nichole was able to solidify her website, execute a business plan, and prepare for a partnership for art space collaboration. Eager for professional development opportunities, she represented her organization while presenting at Renaissance East Bay’s The Black Dollar Showcase to celebrate Black History Month in 2021. Asé Arts was approved as an AC-OCAP Grant Recipient - an incredible impact for her Oakland business since she lost 50% of her income due to COVID-19 just the year before. Nicole continues to advocate everyday for the arts because she believes in its healing, transformative powers.
